Grain Operations Specialist

Location: Nebraska

 

We are seeking a dedicated Grain Operations Specialist to support day-to-day facility operations under the direction of the Location Manager. This role ensures efficient operations, safety compliance, and organized grain movement while maintaining facility standards.


Grain Operations Specialist Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and organize grain operations, including scheduling and communication.
  • Perform facility maintenance, repairs, and general housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate records for housekeeping and equipment maintenance using internal programs.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts.
  • Manage rail operations (if applicable), including assisting at other locations as needed.
  • Support seasonal demands, including extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts when required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations as necessary.
  • Obtain CDL with endorsements (employer may assist).

Grain Operations Specialist Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers, wheel loaders, and rail car movers.
  • Capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, professionalism, and self-direction.
  • Ability to listen effectively, take constructive feedback, and build trust with colleagues.
